Patient Rights and Responsibilities

1.1 Rights of patients and their relatives

  • Equal access to care: You have the right to benefit from activities that promote healthy living and from preventive services, under the principles of justice and equity, without discrimination based on race, language, religion, sect, gender, sexual orientation, political view, philosophical belief, or economic and social status.
  • Right to information: You have the right to receive information about all services you obtain from One Dose Health.
  • Choosing and changing the institution: You have the right to choose or change the healthcare institution from which you receive services.
  • Recognizing, choosing and changing staff: You have the right to learn the identity, role and title of physicians and other healthcare staff, and to choose or change them.
  • Right to request information: You may request any information about your health verbally or in writing. Under our open medical records policy, patients may access all of their records related to diagnosis and treatment. Patients are supported with health literacy and may request an interpreter. Patients may request and receive an invoice for the fee they will pay. You have the right to receive every healthcare service in a private setting.
  • Consent: After being informed about the services, you have the right to receive care within the scope of your consent, including information about the condition, treatment options, risks, benefits and alternatives.
  • Refusal and discontinuation: You may refuse treatment or ask for it to be stopped. Possible consequences are explained by the physician and recorded in the clinical notes.
  • Safety: Respect for patient privacy is essential. You have the right to receive care in a safe and private environment.
  • Religious practice: Within the limits of your health condition, you may fulfill your religious obligations. You have the right to receive respectful, careful and compassionate care.
  • Comfort: You have the right to receive care in a sufficiently lit and quiet environment.
  • Applications, complaints and legal action: If your rights are violated, you may file any application, complaint or lawsuit under applicable law.
  • Expressing views: You have the right to express your views about the services provided.

1.2 Responsibilities of patients and their relatives

  • We expect you to share your current health problems, previous illnesses, treatments, medicines and other relevant health information fully and accurately.
  • Patients are responsible for the consequences of refusing treatment or not following their physician’s instructions.
  • For effective care, we expect you to take part in treatment and care decisions, follow those decisions, and ask about anything that is unclear or concerning.
  • We expect you to keep appointment dates and times and to notify us of changes.
  • Under the applicable regulation, services provided through this channel do not replace in-person healthcare.
  • We expect you to avoid activities that would interfere with the consultation while care is being provided.
